Children are a treasure.
They show me God’s creation, His beauty, His mastery, His face, His heart and His plan for us.
They expose things that have grown quietly in me over the years – mindsets, behaviour patterns, beliefs which don’t reflect God’s truth….
– that I have to earn affection…….
– that I have to rely on my own strengths……
– that the unknown is more often than not bad……
– that appearances and opinions matter…
– that I have to have all the answers…..
– that it’s about me……….
O Lord, grant me the gift of childlike faith – that I would see, think, explore and believe as child…….
